What is Prayer?

Talking to God is called prayer. You can talk to the Lord anytime, anywhere because he is always with you.

The most amazing thing about talking to God is that He is better than any other friend we can talk to. He cares about us more than anyone else. He has the power to give us everything we need.

What to pray?

God wants us to ask Him for whatever we need. And He loves to answer our prayers by giving us what we ask for.

When to pray?

Anytime, anywhere! The Bible says God wants us to pray to Him all the time. We should never stop talking to God. It is important to pray even for others all throughout each day.

One of the greatest things about the Lord is that he is never too busy for us. He will be there at any time.

Where to pray?

Anywhere. It is good to pray alone and also with others.

How to pray...

Find a quiet place where you can be alone with God. Spend time talking to Him. You do not have to ask him for anything, he loves when we talk to him even if its just sharing whatever is on your mind.

Scripture on Prayer

The Lords Prayer [Luke 11:2-4]

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ephesians 6:18

Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready. Never give up, Always pray for all God's people.

Luke 11:9-10

So I tell you, continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, if a person continues asking, he will receive. If he continues searching, he will find. And if he continues knocking, the door will open for him.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Never stop praying.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 1:6

Pray in faith. When [anyone] asks [for wisdom], he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
